Path of the Faery Doctor, Healing with the Faeries

Long ago, we were one with the Spirits of the Earth, our energies, our existence weaving like a web connecting to all that is and ever was. As co-creators with the Realm of the Nature Spirits, our connection to Faery was rooted and intertwined within our consciousness on a deep and sacred level. We communed with them, we interacted with them, we wove a beautiful tapestry of enchantment and magic with them and we honored and respected Nature. Then one day, we lost our own fairy sight, we left the enchanted woods filled with their love, beauty and laughter, we stopped talking to the trees, gazing at stars, leaving offerings and laments to the spirits that resided in the mountains, lakes and oceans, we stopped working with the plant spirits and the medicine stones of the Earth…we left as they slowly retreated back into the Hollow Hills, the mounds of the Summerlands, waiting for us to return to them once again…

Now my dear ones there is an awakening happening, can you feel it? Our long slumber has now reached its end and it is time for us to make our return to the wild woods, to let them know that we still honor the Earth. It is time to open our eyes and our hearts once again…to remember. It is time to live in harmony, to dance, to dream, to understand, to love and to heal…to strengthen our relations to Faery and Nature as a Faery Doctor.

For the past 20 years I have worked with the Realm of Faery as a Pathworker beyond the Veil, a Faery Doctor and a Faery Herbalist. You may be wondering “What is a Faery Doctor?” The practice of Faery Doctoring is working hand in hand with the Realm of Faery to help heal and treat “spiritual” afflictions. It is a blending of Folk Magick and shamanic practices. In a sense, I am an ally to the “Good Folk”, an ambassador of their workings here upon this Earthly plane. In this type of work, the Faery Doctor will often use specific traditional folk magick methods while also utilizing some new ones from our modern time. This is what I teach in my Faery Doctoring Class. The Faery Doctor not only relies on these tools and knowledge, but also must learn to follow their own intuition while, most importantly, forming a strong partnership and bond with the Faery Realm. When one feels the call to this path, there is a reason, a stirring deep in the soul starts to awaken along with a deep sense of longing to know and work with Faery.

I have visited her home in Feakle Ireland and left laments and offerings to her as a guide upon my path. The image holds some of the chosen herbs of the Faery Doctor; Foxglove, Eyebright, Yarrow, Dandelion, Primrose, Robin the Goodfellow, Hawthorn, St. Johns Wort, Elecampane, and Vervain. A description of some of the tools of the Faery Doctoring trade include:

1. The use of a Faery Medicine Bundle, this contains sacred objects often used for the removal or extraction of malevolent energies or earthbound spirits. This medicine bundle harnesses the power to restore balance and wholeness to those who need it with sacred items kept within that are unique to each Faery Doctor and their practice.
2. Faery Doctors utilize and prepare specific herbal folk remedies to include blessing waters, sacred incense, magickal salves and powerful charms and incantations to bring forth healing to themselves and others.
3. The invoking of specific Faery Sigils as a symbolic way of clearing, offering protection and healing.
4. Using specific crystals and stones for healing the body as well as creating a Stone Circle from which the Faery Doctor can work and commune with Faery.

In my Faery Doctoring class you learn practical healing techniques, this is a Healing Modality working hand in hand with the Realm of Faery! The class is very comprehensive and is a 7 month class that you can go at your own pace with! This work has been done for hundreds of years with its roots deeply planted in the olde ways and traditions, and it is being brought back to us now!  I have dedicated my life to ensuring that their magic is remembered and maintained here upon this Earth and why I will continue to share my knowledge of their teachings until I pass to the Otherworld. This path is a sacred one…our path, like any shamanic practitioner, is to act as the mediator between human and Faery, to bridge the gap between us and work together for the healing of all.
